European Development and Testing – Universal Design
Reflecting on 2024 and our involvement in InclusiveSpaces project.
InclusiveSpaces is an EU Horizon Europe funded project. We are proud to be one of the 17 consortium project partners, brought together from around Europe, who will develop future policies and products for a transition to a climate-friendly built environment that will be more equitable and inclusive.
The InclusiveSpaces project will develop assistive technologies to be tested in six major European cities. These innovative solutions, aim to enhance the lives of the 100Million people who live with a disability in Europe. TripleTread innovative trike with our patented technology is one of the project’s technologies to be developed and tested and will expand inclusive cycling opportunities for all.
All the InclusiveSpaces consortium partners came together in one of the pilot cities, Athens-Penteli to update each other on the project’s first six-month progress and discuss next steps.
Universal Design principles guide the technology developments in the InclusiveSpaces project.
Nothing About Us Without Us
The disability community is often more resourceful and creative to innovative solutions to overcome challenges they face. They and their needs are also too frequently ignored. InclusiveSpaces provides an opportunity for change so that products, services and policies consider those living with a disability throughout the design and implementation process.

To mark the International Day of People With Disabilities I was interviewed to share TripleTread’s role and ambitions in the InclusiveSpaces projects, the unique features of our trike, challenges faced, and our vision for transforming the future of inclusive cycling.
