Inclusive Cycling

Exercise

Triple Tread® is an innovative, stable tricycle. Regular controlled aerobic exercise including walking, swimming and cycling has proven benefits to people with Multiple Sclerosis, but any exercise has to be undertaken in moderation – so as not to induce debilitating fatigue.

Exercise can help reduce spasticity and keep joints mobile which in turn prevents them from getting stiff.  The dichotomy is that any exercise has to be undertaken in moderation so as not to induce debilitating fatigue.

Cycling bridges the gap between walking with a stick and needing a wheelchair or using a car for very short journeys.

Balance

Unfortunately, as sympoms develop and People with MS move to the progressive stages of the disease, they experience an increase in this fatigue and reduction of mobility, meaning their exercise options become increasingly limited.

Balance is an additional challenge for neurological medical problems, making riding of standard bicycles particularly difficult and unsafe on the road. Tricycles are available but their standard designs could be considered cumbersome and ‘child-like’.

The Triple Tread® trike has an unconventional yet dynamic and contemporary design and uses Patented TiltrahedronTM steering and suspension system for its two front wheels. Utilising the principles of Ackerman steering and our innovative suspension system keeps you in control over multiple terrains.

Patented and Design Registered

Our battery assisted model offers assistance on tough climbs and helps on the return journey when the symptoms of fatigue are setting in.
